Plymouth Argyle v Southampton latest news, odds and free bets

It has been a very rocky season for Plymouth Argyle, who have received a ten point deduction for going into administration and that looks like sending them down into League Two.
Peter Reid’s team would be well clear of the relegation zone with those ten points although maximum points are required from their two remaining games to stand any chance of remaining in the division, with Southampton the visitors on Monday.
Argyle are available at 5/1 with Victor Chandler (£25 free bets) to win this south-coast derby and they are sure to be noisily supported by supporters hoping for a minor miracle. They have won their past two matches at Home Park and let’s not forget that they won at St Mary’s on the opening day of the season.
Even so, they are up against one of the best teams in the division and Southampton are also on the verge of leaving the division, although their direction would be upwards into the Championship.
Victory would guarantee the Saints automatic promotion and Coral (£20 free betting) offer odds of 4/6 that Nigel Adkins’ team are up with a game to spare. The visitors are coming off the back of four straight wins and the latest of these was a 3-0 triumph at Brentford.
Ricky Lambert is looking for goal number 20 this season and is the 4/1 favourite with Blue Square to open the scoring, with Lee Barnard available at 5/1 with the same firm and Adam Lallana a 6/1 shot.
